RECKLESS HEARTS, by Heather van Fleet

SO happy to share a belated Release Day with Heather. I’ve read this book and love it! See below for my review*

Between boot camp and two TOD’s in Iraq, my buddies Max, Gavin and me have been through some serious hell. So the last thing I ever expected was to find the biggest challenge of my life back home.

My girlfriend died. I couldn’t even attend her funeral, let alone tell her goodbye or that I’m sorry I wasn’t there like I should’ve been.

But she left me a gift. The best and scariest one I could’ve ever asked for. One I didn’t think I could handle…until the day I saw her tiny blues looking up at me in that airport. Chloe.

Now here I am, raising my baby girl—with the help of my two best friends. Things couldn’t be better. Until she walked into my life.

All I wanted was a nanny. Someone to take care of my girl when I couldn’t. What I didn’t count on was Addison, the brown-eyed temptress with a body of sin, and everything I didn’t need, but suddenly wanted.

My Review:

I absolutely love the premise of RECKLESS HEARTS. I’ve waited eagerly for this book, and Heather Van Fleet delivered. And then some. Wow.

Take three hot bachelors (former Marines who’ve done tours in Afghanistan), toss in a charming baby, add a funny main character who can’t keep her eyes—or attention—off one of the hot guys, and you’ve got a recipe for the perfect romance.

One of the best parts of this book is the well-executed, distinctly different dual povs. When we were in Collin’s head, we knew it, both by his dialogue and internal. And I ached for Addison, hoping she’d find her happily-ever-after.

Pros: off-the-charts chemistry, hot alpha Marines with gruff exteriors that hide soft hearts, an independent, assertive main character who doesn’t take s**t from anyone, including the man she’s falling for, a sweet baby who twists everyone around her tiny finger, and a well-written romance.

Cons: Okay, so there are none.

Run, don’t walk, to pick up your copy of RECKLESS HEARTS. I can’t wait for the next installment in this excellent series!
